Mom, it's an EMERGENCY!!

This is what I heard when my oldest came RUNNING inside from the backyard. When I went out to investigate, I hear, "Mom, she put a rock up her nose and I can't get it out!!" A what I ask. A rock!!! So, I guess I've really made it to mommyhood when I spend an evening digging something out of my child's nose. Luckily, we did manage to finally get it out and we took pictures for proof. * BEWARE, it was up the nose so the pictures are a little gross * I did take a funny video too, you'll have to watch and hear how our conversation went.

P U M P K I N patch

We never go with the intention of buying the pumpkins, but the kids always have a good time riding all the rides. Of course, it's always a good time for pictures too....

{Truck ride that they loved because they B O T H could drive at the SAME TIME}

Of course 'lil miss was too young and little to do any of the rides, but we took
L O T S of pictures of her anyways.....

P.S. In case any of you notice, these pictures were on two different nights (thus the different outfits). The place closed down before we could use up all our tickets the first night. :)

A knock at the door?

What happens when your 5-year-old decides to misbehave and have a meltdown in the van? Well, you let them out to calm down and walk home. You most certainly do not drive off and leave them; however, you do let them know that they are NOT allowed back in the van until they stop screaming! When they have come to their senses and they are ready to talk like a normal human being.....then what? You of course pull over, talk to them like the big girls they are and you invite them back in to the van to ride the rest of the way home. Now, what happens when your overly curious/cautious/intrusive/probably-never-had-kids/NOSEY neighbors get involved.....well, then you have these people at your door:

Yep, that's right! About 20 minutes after we got home (and had already put our VERY tired 5-year-old in bed) there was a knock at the door. Lo and behold, there was a nice policeman at our door inquiring about our daughter and wanting to "check on our little one". Brandon relayed the entire story, not missing any details. Then the officer wanted to check on her, so up the stairs they went...woke little miss up, asked her if she was ok, and then quickly told her that "next time she needed to mind her mommy and daddy."

Now, was it a huge deal....no. Did we get hauled off to jail....no. But, seriously people, can you mind your own business? I guess it's a different day and age; however, would you have liked me to drop her off at your house next time and let you think of a more appropriate/better/more successful way of getting her to calm down? I NEVER would do anything to harm my child(ren) and if I think that letting her get out and calm down for a few minutes is the best option....then MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!!!!!

~Sincerely, A LOVING MOM~

Do we really need ALL our hair?

{Last post for the day, I promise! I know, a little overload for one day.}

If anyone knows my middle child than you will know her VERY mischievious ways. Despite the fact that she's been told a million times N O T to touch the scissors, she did it anyways. And what happens when a 3-year-old gets ahold of scissors...well, since you asked, I'll tell you. She does THIS:

And then her bangs look like THIS:

We sure do love this little girl, but she sure keeps us on our toes. There was a lot more damage to the rest of the hair; however, I was lucky to get her to sit still long enough to get these two pictures. You'll just have to imagine how much more was missing when I tell you that the bathroom floor was c o v e r e d with long blond hair.

And we're walking....

I couldn't help myself....she's so cute and SO INDEPENDENT! Take a look and you'll see for yourself! :)

{F A M I L Y reunion}

We spent conference weekend in Zion's and St. George having a family reunion. We had a lot of fun and we even survived the wind and rain. The girls love being with Grandpa & Grandma. The just also happen to L O V E their uncle Steven & aunt Kristen!! There were just tooooooo many pictures to post them all individually so we did a couple of slides so you could see them all.

One of the highlights of the trip for the girls was hiking. We decided Friday morning to ride the shuttle all the way up the canyon. The girls got a real kick out of riding the shuttle. Then we decided to do a few of the hikes. We sure had a lot of fun. The girls love hiking. We even saw deer on one of our hikes.

We had so much fun and we hope to have more family reunions in the future. Maybe next time we can get everyone out?
